It simply means that you need a powerful power supply; powerful especially on the +12V rail. The new graphics cards and the processor circuit draw mainly from that rail. The one you plan to get should work great all day long.

yep... that would work. for new gen vcards, they use the 6-pin power connector. if your PSU (power supply unit) has that, then most likely, it supports the 8800gt and other new gen vcards

12v 30A means when you connect it to the PSU you need to use the 12V rails and make sure your PSU can supply 30A.
