Yep, born in 71 but do you know what I think I was abducted by aliens for a decade as I have no memories at all of the 70's. Life began in the 80s for me. It could have been some substance in the water or an hallucogen or something but its really wierd. Either that or I am actually only 26 and now that I mention it I do look remarkably young for my age, almost childlike in fact. Hmmmm thoughts to ponder for the day!

I grew up through the Seventies - Spacehoppers, Slade being Number 1 at Christmas, Jon Pertwee as Dr Who and chomping a packet of Spangles as I watched it.

I remember having a converstaion about how everyone laughed at the platform shoes people tottered around on, then a few years ago they were fashionable again.

Lets hope the delta winged shirt collars don't make a come back.

I was in junior high in the late 70's. I remember my first school dances involved music from Donna Summer, The Bee gees, The Grease Soundtrack w/Olivia Newton John. The showoff guys brought boom boxes to school the size of a large dog! Everyone had pretty long hair compared to today, and I don't remember the styles too much, we wore what are parents bought us. This was before prewashed jeans, so those new pants chafed pretty good for the first month or so.

My teens were in the 70's, jeez some of the clothes we used to wear, I had some 40 inch bell bottoms, a striped tank top and a white blouse with the biggest collar ever, 6in platform shoes and I thought I looked the bees knees ha ha.

I was a teenager in the 70's. I remember being over 6ft tall in my platform shoes, dad telling me I walked like Frankenstein's Monster. Falling off them was painful, often happened because my flares were very long and I could trip over them.
I saved up for an afghan coat with beautiful embroidery on it. The first time I wore it in the rain the flipping thing stunk....my mum threw it away!
Happy times though. Thanks for the memories.

The early part of my childhood was (birth-age 4). I loved the 70s so much. All my mom ever dressed me in back then were dresses, though. I think everyones clothes were cool. My brother always wore Kiss shirts, my mom had some sweet go-go boots, and my dad was super-smooth in his Naugahyde jacket.

Yup. I was born in 1962, so my teen years were in the 70s. Golden time, my friend. Life was still rather simple, and people were more laid-back and helpful. Schools were safe -- the most shocking things were the occasional drug busts, and the installation of student smoking areas. And a student bringing her baby to school was unheard of.

yes, I was born in 67, and grew up in the 70's. I remember the bell bottoms, hip huggers, and big collars. I love looking back in my old pictures, they were the good old days. LoL
