I'm hoping to get a laptop with a GeForce 8800, Here's a good one you might like, its for £600

EDIT: I can't sadly find the link, I will try post it later today, But the site is http://www.novatech.co.uk/Novatech

Good luck and i hope this helps.

It depends on the graphics settings you use in the games you want to play. There are games that can slow ANY graphics card to a crawl when played at maximum settings. But if we don't take these cases into consideration and assume you just want to play at decent settings, not the maximum, then there are lots of options. Laptops with built-in graphics accelerators are definitely not an option, and naturally you need a good CPU and lots of RAM. Your best bet would be with one of the companies that create customized laptops (Alieware, Falcon Northwest, Voodoo, etc...), but these come at the disadvantage of high price, and the laptops are usually pretty heavy.

You can simply search online for "Gaming Laptops" or "Desktop Replacement Laptops" and you'll get lots of other options, you'll certainly find something that fits your needs.

Hope this helps....

You can get them though you'll pay more than you would for a laptop with Integrated graphics.

The really high end graphics chips though can only be found in laptops that don't really deserve the name because they are just too big to carry around with you though you can still get decent performance in the 15.4" range and even the 14.1" screen size range.

Yes, there are laptops that can do this quite well. I recommend looking at AlienWare if you are interested in finding a laptop that is designed for gaming.

You should know though, laptops with a hefty graphics card for gaming are usually on the high end of the price scale as laptops go.
