OK, sorry im always stuck on my practise exam, i need some help.
Here's the question:
For the rule p= m/6 + 7 find 'p' by substituting m = 20.4
The answer is 10.4.
How does that occur.
Im doing year7 maths. (algebra and equations)
Detailed answers and how you did it would be great!

therefore your question is:
p = 20.4/6 plus 7

first - simplify the 20.4 over 6 BY dividing 6 into 20.4

what's your answer?_______
substitute
p = answer + 7
and p should = 10.4
(and it does)

That right, since you know the value of M, put it into the equation and solve for P. One you get the hang of how to do this, you will never forget do to do this. You will find it actually fun You are getting close to the train problems

this is easy.

Substitute m by 20.4 then divide by 6 is equals to 3.4 then add 10 then it is equals to 10.4..
