i have not so old western digital harddisk,
which only damage at several part of the harddisk and i can still use it not as the primary harddisk but i only use it as secondary harddisk.

But after i low-level-formatted the harddisk (my friend advise me to do so) the harddisk is now officially dead. what went wrong, and how can i revive the harddisk back to life. is it possible to revive it? since its not a physical damage, it just software damaged i think.

The problem may have been that you low level formatted it (you should not have done that, only really old hard drives can possibly benefit from a low level format).

Modern hard drives can not be low level formatted (the read write heads are physically incapable of doing it nowadays) and the use of voice coils means that there is never a justification for a low level format with a modern hard drive (and no situation under which a low level format by the user will even be helpful so no one bothers making sure it can be done expect at the factory). To prevent people from ruining their hard drives in that manner most hard drives recognise when someone is attempting to perform a low level format and ignore it (since they can't do it) but some will try to do a low level format anyway.

I suspect you have one of the hard drives that will allow you to try a low level format but which isn't actually capable of doing a low level format.

There's nothing you can do to revive the hard drive (nor should you even try, get a new drive). If you have data on it that has been lost you could pay a data recovery service a lot of money to get it off (maybe) but unless it is important it probably wouldn't be worth the fees they charge.
