This is a school trip to Greece, Egypt and Italy for 3 weeks for $6000. School trip. And my friend's parents wouldn't let her go because there scared Egypt would be bombing australians. Mum wants her to go but it's a dad's problem. Can you please find some sites of advice?

You can check out the Australian Governments travel advisory site and you will see that Egypt is not regarded as an area of high risk for Australians.
I am an Australian living in Luxor and I feel much safer here than I do in Melbourne.
At least here you don't have the worry of being attacked, shot or raped by street gangs like you do on the streets of suburban Australia.
I think they are being a little bit over cautious. There is nowhere in the world that is totally safe in these times.
Here in Egypt the tourists are especially well protected on the remote chance that some sort of incident should occur.

It is natural for a Dad to worry about his little princess. But in this case he is being a littler overprotective. Egyptian people really do love Aussies on are able to distinguish then from Americans.
Not to say that anyone is in any more danger in Egypt than in any other country .
If you were having a trip to the U.K. last year then you could have been caught up in thew bombings there or in the recent problems in Thailand and Burma if your cultural trip was for those destinations.
The awful reality is that the whole world is in danger from a few mad radical fundamentalist and if we let then intimidate us through terror tactics then that have achieved their goal.
The fact that Australia has not been subjected to any of these acts of atrocity is even more reason to think it may well happen there next.
If it is to be, then you may well be blown up on the train or tram going to school in the next suburb.

Since you're a student, make a presentation/report for the father. Gather your facts (recent information (within past 2 years), not 10-20 years ago). Get info that'll help your case (in this case you need facts saying how it is a safe trip, unless it truly isn't).

Sit the mother and father down. And present like you would at school. It's all about selling the trip to your parents. As safe, educational, and of course life changing.

Relax. Get a job and go when you can afford it. It's alot more fun to travel when you not worried about being supervised. Bombing Australians does seem to pose it's own unique set of problems. Have you considered defecting?

Maybe your friend should talk to her parents, comparing the relative safety of Egypt to other places like New York and how less likely there will be a bomb there.

Sorry but i think her parents must be stupid to think Eygpt would be bombing Australians. So if they work out that i think everything will be fine. Oh and i wish my college ever organised a $6000 trip. wow sounds amazing. hope u enjoy it!

Maybe that's not the real problem maybe they can't afford it. But if her dad has fears of any kind there probably isn't much hope. It would be hard to reassure him of any danger.
