Well, I was thinking of which kind. Every year we always just choose from what is left.

This year I want to do a bit of research.

What would be the best based on how good it looks when decorated and how long it will last? There is also the problem of mess, but we can deal with that.

We usually keep our christmas tree until new years is finished.

Should it be the grand or the noble?

The average fake Christmas Tree causes 19 tons of green damage to the Earth. This includes the 4 tons of andro-produced semihydroflourowhoreocarbons. If you wanna help the planet please buy a regular Earth grown green Christmas Tree. They are grown on farms by Hindu Catholic Monks in North Indiana.

ok. get a real tree. all of these people that say "save a tree, buy artificial" clearly do not consider the raw materials, factory emissions, and transportation costs of an artificial tree. there is nothing wrong with buying a real tree. in fact, these trees are grown at tree farms especially for the purpose of hanging out in your living room covered in lights for a month. real trees are usually grown at local tree farms, so you're supporting a local farmer. and do not get one of those trees that you plant after christmas. these trees are usually not native, so they attract pidgeons and may be invasive (suck up resources and make it difficult for the plants that are supposed to be there to live). as far as what type of real tree to get? i've always liked the firs, or the ones that smell like lemons. and make sure you recycle it when you're done! :-)

Give me a break. Fake, phony, call it what you will. Don't kill a tree so you can ogle over it for a bit. Research the life of a tree.

Avoid tinsel or garland as the cat may decide to eat it and can cause major problems. Also, I bought a pre-lit artificial tree and have discovered that the electrical cords are somewhat loose and my kitten has gotten caught several times. Thankfully she was just an inch or two off the ground and it didnt really hurt her. Make sure your cat cant get caught up in the cords and get strangled.

Douglass Fir is pretty, one of my favorite, I LOVE huge plump trees that are perfectly filled in, unfortuantely, they end up being the most expensive!
