I touched something that had rubbing alcohol on it and then rubbed my eye then i rinsed out my eye with cold water and it is still red, will this cause serious problems, should i consult a doctor. will my eyes be ok, what can i do to help my eye??!(it was lucky a very small amount of alcohol0. so hopefully it won't be an issue.

i've been pouring a cold cup of water over my eye for at least a minute and my eye feels better.will this help?

My eyes was itchy and burning before i flushed it out with water, i probably flsuh it out for 15 minutes. it such a stupid thing to get alcoholin your eye, especially, this late at night.

Yes, just keep rinsing it with cool water! It should feel better shortly. It is just a mild irritant, it says flush eyes for 15 min with cool clear water. Probably won't take that long.

No. Rinse thoroughly with water. It may burn a bit but at worst you will have some slough in the corneal cells. And if you wear contact lenses, for goodness' sakes throw them out, and don't wear them for at least a week.

hello worry not my friend your eye being red is just aphase thats going to end soon, washing your eye with cold water was the perfect solution to your problem...your eye fights agaist any foreign material that enters into it and it being red is caosed by the secreted fluid that prevents dust and other small particles...

As long as your eye is not burning, you should be fine. If you want to get the red out, put some visine in your eyes.

The worst that could happen is it removed some moisture from your eye. Just keep it closed and when you wake up tomorrow you'll be fine.
