I normally smile at them and then Greet them depending who he/she is ... and from which cultural background.

Normally in our country ( India ) we either say Namaste ( with our hands folded ) , Salam to our Muslim brethren and obviously the more popular amongst the modern generation ...Hi or Hello....followed by Good Morning / Evening / Day etc

handshake for male friend if I have not seem them in a while, otherwise just a verbal hello of some kind.

hug sometimes for female friends, although im not into all that double-cheek kissing stuff lol, although I know a couple of people who are so I really have no choice on those occassions lol :)

It depends on the circumstances. Usually Hi or Hey. But if it's my 'family' I just greet them by walking away.

Well men with a smile and hand shake. Women with a warmer smile and softer handshake! And a glance at their feet!

usually say hello, or hiya. in recent years i have become more touchy feely as i have realised you dont have your fam and friends forever. not to be morbid but just to realise that and give them a hug and kiss when i see them. it seems to go down well......except with my brother who always runs off!

Actually , I think I scare them away. I squint my eyes togetefer, grin and vigorously wave my hand WAY from my face. And I'm like, 'HIIIIIII!!!! ^_^

Most people think I'm a bit crazy when I do that.
