I have been requesting 2 separate forums to PERMANENTLY remove my profile. Neither have responded or honored my request. Is there a way to get them to do this....any laws on privacy or when a member requests removal they must comply? ANY info would be helpfull :) Thanks in advance

If I do what user 1 says...can this also apply to ALL POSTS made by me as they do contain personal information. Also which court would you need to do this at......the one in their state/county...or mine? Would this be a civil case than?

File an action for mandamus in court to order the permanent removal of your personal details from a forum. Thus, if action is not made, they could be held liable for damages.

Forums are ran by private people. You voluntarily signed onto the forum and gave that information. So legally they are not under any obligation to simply delete that information for you when you request them to do so. Most forums have terms of service that have all this information buried in there. Even if they don't, there is nothing in the law requiring them to. The Internet is still very unregulated and the government doesn't want to get involved with things like this.

Personally I would just message an administrator and ask them to do you a favor.

How can we delete yahoo answers profile forever?
"You can't – only Yahoo Answers has that ability, and they will only do it for violations. Even closing your email account will NOT close your Yahoo Answers account."

you probably have to get obnoxious and make lots of stupid remarks / get reported 100 times.

i know if you complain about what a bananaland puerto rico is , they will send you a violation notice. even though it's truthful , and a proper term , they have a problem with

maybe report yourself ? not sure if that is an option . if so , keep reporting yourself and building up your violations level

Its easy. All you have to do is ask a question questioning Christian dogma and your entire name will be deleted.
