I had 2 c-sections and they both went by very quickly. yes you can feel the tugging but as i said it goes quick. there is no pain. the only thing i was nervous about was the needle in my back but it wasnt really a big deal. the recovery process can be painful but they will give you meds to help with that. you will probably want someone to help you out the first couple weeks because its a lil hard to get up and down. in about a month youll be good to go. the scarring isnt bad either like you would think it would be. you can barely see mine! good luck and congrats!

I had a C-section. My daughter was in distress at 43 weeks, I had eclampsia and wouldn't dilate despite 12 hours of hard labor. I was awake for the procedure, despite having my husband there, because I was terrified. I can tell you that, for me, the epidural was the most painful part of the procedure and that wasn't really all that painful compared to the contractions I'd been having. There was a "tugging", but it did not hurt. The only real pain was from after the surgery. It hurt like mad, but a lot of that was because the morphine made me sick and I refused it. There's not much to worry about, except making sure that your doctor doesn't insist on a vertical cut. You won't mind any of it when you get to snuggle with your baby.

I haven't had it done, but my granddaughter had both of her babies by c section. The first was an emergencry. This is the same as having surgery, and you will be given medicine to block the pain. It is after that you will be uncomfortable. You will need help around the house, because you will not be able to lift anything over 5 pounds, or drive the car. No matter what the pain is involved, it will be forgotten when you get to hold that baby. No matter what pain you have to go through you are going to be a mother to a beautiful baby, and that is the most important thing you will do for the rest of your life. Congradulations .

have not been throught it yet.. but I know its a very quick procedure and doesn't hurt really but, maybe a little pain after. It is a surgery so its not going to be perfect. the only thing is that a lot of people get very sick from the meds after, and throw up a lot so dont be surprised if u are feeling awful. your body is going to try to get all those meds out of ur system ((ur baby will too)) so just let it do its thing.

This was taken from my blog after mine, I had an emg caesarean at 27+6 weeks...
"Im not doing too badly now after my caesarean, yesterday was absolute hell (I had an epidural, only to scream the house down half way through cos I wasnt numb inside) so I then quickly had a general anaesthetic and really dont remember too much else of the day after that. Trying to get out of bed today for the first time was awful, but after lots of tears and morphine I finally got there."
Im not going to lie to you... mine hurt, alot. However I think this was probably because my epidural didnt work and that is what they use for pain relief afterwards too. I believe this is quite rare for it to not work. It is very difficult to move, sit up and get out of bed for the first couple of days after. They will give u a catheter so you dont need to get up to wee, and laxatives for the other end.
All the best.

My sister had two so far, I don't know if she was kidding or just trying to gross me out, but she said that she felt that tugging feeling. She was fine after her first, but the second one she was in a little pain afterwards. I think you'll be fine, and congrats on the baby. :)

you'll be numb from the waist down. you'll be completely awake but there will be a curtain so you can't see anything... just watch tv and wait for them to say congrats.... you might feel a few sensations but nothing severe. I've been in the room with 3 of my friends that had c-sections... same thing for all of them
