I was due yesterday and I DO understand the baby will come when he is ready but sheesh...... I am 4.5 cm dilated, 75% efaced for a couple of weeks now. My doctor stripped my membranes on Friday and I lost my mucus plug on Saturday. After she stripped my membranes my braxton hicks basically stopped and I feel better than I have for a long time! What is going on with me?

I don't think you went through the right proceedings when you served the baby with his eviction notice. :-p

If this is your first baby, you can be "ready" to go for 2 months. I dropped in my 7th month with my first child. I was dilated to 3.5 in month 7, and I lost my plug in month 7. I went all the way to 38 weeks before they induced me due to other problems. :-p

With the 2nd baby, everything happened in a span of 10 days.

You where due according to the Dr., your baby will tell you when you are due, and as you say come when they are ready. If it goes to much longer, the Dr. will help with some medication. Evidently your not ready. Have you felt like cleaning the house. That is always a sure sign that your ready to go, and the activity will bring on the labor. It happened to me with everyone of my pregnancy's.

I dont know but Im due today and hoping I dont go to much longer..Unfortunately, when I went to Dr wednesday I hadn't even started to effaced yet. I have a non stress test today and will be talking about induction because my bp has been high and Im just plain tired of being pregnant. Hope you go in soon!!!! GL

You probably feel good right now because your in the Pre-labor stage. the nesting and energy are kicking in and so you feel really good so you can prepare.

Good luck.
