What can lack of it do?
Been out a lot and really not having much sleep few hours if I'm lucky, is this okay? Or will it affect my health?

Eventually it will affect your health.

You'll start losing concentration, get irritable easier and your immune system will suffer and you'll get sick easier.

Living in general wears the body down. You can imagine it like wearing microscopic tears and stretches throughout your body just from breathing and moving, etc. Sleep gives your body the chance to focus all its energy on repairing this pervasive damage so you can start all over the next day.

So missing a little sleep here and there isn't a problem, but missing a little sleep every night for an extensive period of time will obviously wreak havoc on your system. It will never be able to catch up with the damage from the day! So hey, be nice to yourself and take a nap! ;-)

sleep is the bodys way of winding down and relaxing from the stresses of the day. lack of sleep can lead to depression and lack of concentration.
however some people only need a few hours sleep, and no it wont affect your health if you dont need 8 hours sleep a night

First of all "Lucky You" for going out so much.
I have found that you can go without sleep for a few days but your own body will tell you when you need to catch up on some sleep.

our bodies need sleep so that the brain can shut down and generate and also so the body can repair itself,but also sleep is needed for the mind as we all need time out so we can dream and generally switch off from the world,if you don't get enough sleep then you are denying your body a time to rest,so try and relax a bit more and then sleep will come and you will feel much better. good luck x

Rest = Restoration.
It makes sense, doesn’t it?
While exercise and movement are essential for stimulating circulation and the elimination of toxins, rest and sleep provide an opportunity for the body to cleanse, repair, and rejuvenate on a deep cellular level. Most people in our society are chronically sleep deprived. Nourish your body with plenty of healing sleep and rest.
all the best

First of all if you keep it up your brain is going to get tired and it will eventually ask your body to shut down wherever you might be. Your brain needs ample rest to repair and regenerate new brain cells you know those little things that make you think. Your brain also tells the body to regenerate and repair muscle cells and regulate your internal chemistry most importantly your metabolism. Hope you get rest or you will suffer the consequences if you keep it up the way your going your own body will go apesh*t on you if you don't give it proper rest.

Sleep is a restorative, and without it on a regular basis can make one depressed, suffer from anxiety attacks and sometimes lead to a breakdown. Though perhaps in your case if you slow up a bit this probably won't happen.

Lack of sleep will negatively affect your mood, memory, possibly your reflex skills...when you don't have enough sleep, sometimes your body will try to compensate by releasing adrenaline, which makes your heart beat faster...people HAVE died from exhaustion and extreme lack of sleep. try to get your Z's!
