It is a boy's name. Collin Ferral, Collin Quin. I think it has Irish roots though.

as someone who is half english I think colin is a great masculine name for a boy, I might suggest you look up babys name dictionaries online to find out the meaning and former colins in past history just for fun. My welsh corgi's name is rhys pronounced REEESE in american lol good luck
