FIrst, just consider the "x" values
For the points (1, 2) and (5, -2), the "x" values are 1 and 5
What is half way between 1 and 5? Just take the average (5+1)/2 = 3
Now do the same for the "y" values
The "y" values are 2 and -2
So [2 + (-2)]/2 = 0/2 = 0
So our midpoint is (3,0)

I think the answer would be (3,0) . I got this answer by using the midpoint formula...x1+x2/2so 1+5=6/2=3, 2+-2=0
