I live in CA, and I saw a sort of whitish & clear spider in my room. It had long skinny white & clear legs with sort of a brown-ish body. I'm scared to death of spiders!! So I'm just wondering if this is poisonous or something.... I've never seen anything like this in my life! Help please! lol I'm really really afraid of spiders....I'm scared I won't get any good sleep. :(

You can either let it be - it eats flies and mosquitoes and protects you.
If you are arachnophobic, you can get someone capture it and leave it outside on a tree or something (alive ofcourse).
This little creature means you no harm.

I don't know what the specific name is of this spider, but I actually looooove spiders. I'm not kidding. I feel I can safely say this is not a poisonous one. There really are only two poisonous spiders in the US, the black widow and the brown recluse. There is another spider that is highly venomous, but is actually very friendly and the reason you never will get hurt by it is because the opening of its, sorry, abdomen(??) is too small to do anything to a human, and that is a daddy long legs.

I don't blame you for being afraid of spiders, most people are. But I wouldn't tell you it wasn't poisonous if I thought it was at all.

One of my favorite things about spiders is that they eat the other bugs in my house. Natural pest control! But that's me.... most people are not like me about liking spiders.

I don't know the range of this species but it fits the description you gave. I believe it could be the Cream House Spider. There is one species of it that frequently enters homes. It is not as dangerous as a black widow or brown recluse but it's been know to bite people and the wound is slow to heal. Here is a link that has a picture of this spider if you scroll down. Not positive without seeing a picture but if this isn't your spider, this website has tons of pictures and I would think yours should be on there as well. Hope that helps

When we were kids my sister screamed bloody murder for me to come and take a spider out of her room for her.
Is there any way you can get someone to take it out for you? Many critters are coming into the house these days.
One spider I will kill in two seconds is the black widow which is poisonous and we have them around our parts.
I bet that one is just a normal house spider.

There are a lot of spiders that match that description....

Change the light bulb for a black light ,Take 2 acid trips , Put on Jimmie hendricks really loud ,
You wont give a schtump about the spider after that .
You may see all sorts of other things though.

You could catch it and let it go back outside or kill it with a chancleta! Ive had a bad experience with those. I got bit once on the side of my knee and it got really itchy and looked funny. It stayed there for years and finally decided to go to the doctor and they said I got fungus from the spider. And its still there!! 5 years!! no joke.

Put horse chestnuts (conkers) around the room, the oil in them deters all spiders.

you could do what the first chick said, or call someone who isn't scared of spiders in your room to squash it...spiders give me the willies especially large or funky looking ones!
