I recently started a regimen which includes all three of the ones you mentioned. Soap of course for general cleanliness, the astringent (in this case Clean&Clear because it was available) to get the deep down accumulations of oil, and then the cream (Noxzema, the classic, also because it was available) to re-moisturize the formerly-astringed skin.
I'm just trying to keep that baby face, of course. :D

There's a special soap that I use, unfortunately I can't remember the name of it though. LOL It's from Crabtree and Evelyn. It's the only facial soap they sell, so I don't get lost when I have to purchase it, especially since I can't remember the name, LOL

A bar of Dove soap. It's worked just as well as any of the expensive products for me, and leaves my face feeling clean and soft, not stripped of everything or still greasy.

Pond's cold cream. It's inexpensive and it doesn't clog my pores.
The area I live in is very dry and the cold cream helps keep it under control. The funny thing is I used to have oil skin then when I moved to this area it totally dried my skin out.
