I agree with jstro, kia, etc.
It seems to crawling or slithering rather than flying, and the fact that it never diminishes in size indicates that it's moving a two dimensional plane - i. e. the lens or the camera housing.
I still couldn't tell you what it is, though. It seems to a little wider at the front end and the rest of the body appears to taper. A certain points the tail end looks a little darker. There seem to be a hint of appendages - wings probably - right where it makes a downturn.
It could easily be some sort of insect. It may even be some creature that remains to be discovered, but I definitely don't think it is anything supernatural.

Note that while the person, the car, the gas pump all cast shadows, the "blue ghost" does not even though it is opaque. Hmmm. Note also that the person walks into the gas station seemingly oblivious to the glowing blue ghost just feet away. Moreover, there is no indication of depth in the blue mist image. It appears to move very two-dimensionally. The news story mentions witnesses but doesn't interview them, and doesn't make clear whether these witnesses saw the ghost with their eyes or just witnessed the security video. And the way the ghost moves is like a reticulated insect, or even fish-like (why would a ghost of a person move like a fish?)
This one pegged my B.S. meter. Think of the huge motive the gas station owners have to popularize a fraudulent video. Quote from the story "Groups of people have traveled to the gas station after word spread of the unexplained event." You bet. And they're buying gas, too. What better way to drum up new business than to get a ghost story in the news to draw people in who are hoping to get a glimpse? I wonder if it's just a simple overlay effect where one video was overlaid on another.
I suppose, to be fair, there is also the possibility that it is not fraud but rather it is due to a natural cause -- a blue colored caterpillar on the lens, perhaps? They have those in Florida, you know (see link).
Edit to add: Thanks for the correction Denie, it is indeed Ohio. I looked up bugs in Ohio and they do have a blue caterpillar there as well. Caterpillars can crawl into the strangest places. It may be another type of insect, but it looks reticulated to me.

This is similar to the video of the girl in the repo lot that was on tv and around the last few years and they claim to be able to reproduce it by hanging a doll on a stick up in front of the security cam.
It may be something like that because of the movement. Or since that6 was proven a hoax it would seem unlikely that someone would hoax in the exact same way so soon, so I give it about 5% non hoax and 95% hoax on the bs meter.

Maybe a moth with an aura
.EDIT...hmmmmm. That IS strange...that people on the ground saw it. I watched the video..but didn't see where the people said what it looked like to them.
EDIT...Saw it on the big screen tv tonight on the news...but didn't see any people walking around.
EDIT Ok...I finally saw 1 man walking behind his car. The "ghost" was hiding on the windshield at that time.
EDIT "jstro"...Do caterpillars fly?...this is not Marathon ,Fl. This is in Ohio.

Well it's strange how that one guy just walks by like nothing's there. I mean if I saw a blue cloud thing coming at me I would pee my pants! This is probably just a moth on the lens and the gas station owner saw it as an opportunity for more business/advertisement.

The camera footage is interesting, but the "news" story is complete garbage. This reminds me of the video footage of the spider on the camera. The appearance of the object is not inconsistent with something out of focus on the lens of the security camera. The behavior of this blue thing is not inconsistent with that of an insect. Sitting still for 30 minutes, then darting off. It could be anything. I see nothing to make me think this is anything paranormal.

hi dave,
great pictures, wow that is so great to of been able to catch pictures of it... on the first petrol pump, i see a face, is it just a poster of someones face...
also i noticed a shade of pink around the outside of the blue mist.. and of course the skeptis will say, its not true, there would be a perfectly good explanation for the blue mist
maybe it was caused from the petrol fumes...
....everytime something gets caught on film, photos etc it always gets debunked
anyway thanks for sharing this story dave
i think it was geat.....
EDIT...i keep looking at it..how does it look like a moth or bug really......i just noticed if you look closely at the video image,,,the first image that is shown when you enter you can actually see it has a face.....take a closer look

it looks like a fish, if you look closely. You can see the fins on the sides moving every time it starts to move.
