I'm 23 and getting my associates in liberal arts at the end of this semester. I think I want to pursue teaching at a 4 year school, but in the meantime what can I do with the liberal arts degree?

I currently work retail in a clothing store...could I become a retail manager?

Assist manager at a bank?

Assistant teacher?

I'm a little confused by your question. You say you want to pursue teaching at a 4-year school - do you mean you want to pursue a bachelor's degree, rather than teaching, since at this point you are only getting an associates degree?

You can definitely get into retail management; some companies require a bachelor's degree, but others only look for a high school diploma.

I'm not sure about banks these days. Certainly you could be a teller, but my guess is that most require a bachelors degree for management positions.

As for teachers' assistants, that would vary by district, since not all districts even employ people in that category. If they do, there may be a variety of requirements. I know that some districts employ parents who may not even have any educational background for these jobs.

Yes and more. Liberal Arts is an open degree therefore you have more than enough opportunities to grab. A managerial position will be great. Anytime you have worked with the public you're gaining much experience. FYI, Because your young with a degree, ONLY change jobs for a better position. Employees like to see growth.
GOOD LUCK!!!!

Engineering and organisation could be found out by way of using analyzing too - so why no longer in elementary terms order the books on your training and save 40k? the respond is glaring: its much less confusing to learn with instructors and friends, and the degree skill something to employers. Your 2nd element is a little greater correct - why shell out 40k to learn skills that are actually not in call for? i think of there are 2 solutions to that: a million) college is approximately maturing and being a nicely-rounded self reliant individual as much because it is approximately getting to understand. 2) there are countless jobs accessible do no longer require remarkable preparation, only an clever individual with skills that are greater durable to quantify (employer, people skills, and so on). The status of the college could be a quite lifelike length of widespread flair for toddlers; on condition that a intense college degree is valueless recently.
