Alas, it seems than many here are ignorant about the honourable Hugo Chavez, he neither a dictator, a terrorist or even a communist.
But none of that matters to those without the intelect to reject their masters propaganda

Because he wanted to donate oil to freezing us-residents,
in the last winter. Because he is not banana. Because of a
TV station (sniff) - actually it had, sponsored by USA, called
publically for a coup against Chavez, excelled with porn in the
90s and had revoked license a few times, before him. Given the
other dissent voice off air too yet, he will lose my respect though.

I don't hate him, I don't even know him.... I just don't really care about him.
He seems to really like attention is all. Easy way to make a name for your self.... yell about how much you hate Bush, most people don't like him, so it is an easy crowd pleaser.
As far as running a country... Well I could go on about reasons why if I was in his country I would not like him... starting with his support of FARC
Its politics.
Funny thing is.... the O'Reilly show on fox news is sponsered by citco.... no kidding

Because he nationalized oil, and spends the money to help poor people. Dictators are supported by USA such as Saddam was for years, as long as they don't screw with oil company profits, the small group of super rich who controlled the oil had many friends in the US, and lots of money to buy Friends in high places, like 1600 Pennsylvania ave

He censored the media in his country by getting rid of a particular TV station that was somewhat outspoken against him. He has also advocated ending presidential term limits.

Gee, because he's the sole leader of a sudo socialist government ? that he has removed in one fashion or another all competition media. Anyone that doesn't favor him mysteriously disappears or is brought up on charges. maybe its his kook nature that he thought that the US was going to go to war with his little country.
Sounds kind of familiar from history, and sounds like you do'nt know much about history.
People like this always start off in their own little coutnries then they decide one day to do something about it. Thus the rise of Hitler and a couple of other choice individuals we know.
I take it you support that ? If you don't know history, your condemned to repeat it. Hit the books dude.

I don't know about the rest, but I hate him for being a big mouth trash-talking a*hole. Good show by the King of Spain who was the first ever to shut him up.
