Does anyone think that Belichick/Pioli/Kraft talked AV into going to Indy as a NE mole? Win the minor games, make the kick good if the points don't matter, but when it comes to crunch time...you know what to do. Vinatieri's performance during 06-07 Super Bowl run was to set the hook, keep reelin' in the fish for years to come...

I'm just jazzin' ya, I love a good conspiracy theory, no matter how ridiculous. After tapingsignalsgate and crowdnoisegate, ya never know.

DISCLAIMER: I'm a fan of Alfred Hitchcock, I love a little twist in the story, it was in fun that I posted this. I belive that AV is a professional, just like Manning, just like Brady, just like Van Der Jagt...a professional strives to be the best, regardless of who is signing the check.

To Mattapan--that's the beauty of a conspiracy theory...the fact that you disagree with me means that you have been fooled, along with everyone else. Isn't that a neat little trick?

Hehehe, I don't think so. Can't believe he missed that 29 yarder though.

I heard this same theory when the Red Sox acquired David Wells from the Padres in 2005, that Boomer was still a Yankee mole and would cost them key games.
In Adam Viniateri's case, he should feel nothing but resentment for the Patriots. He was with them for years and years and then cast loose for the younger and cheaper Steven Gostkowski. He found a home in Indianapolis, when VanderJagt's failure had cost them the AFC championship the year before and Viniateri helped the Colts get their first Super Bowl. No, he can't be a mole. Like the Colts and their fans, the Patriots are their hated enemies. And Viniateri's very public failures last night only made Pioli and Bellichick look very astute in letting Viniateri go.

I think you are on to something here...Other than Bruschi, AV is the Ultra-Patriot and we all know they would stop at nothing to get a leg up. Look for the Patriots to start dropping off other agents with potential contenders for years to come. They've already got half of Belichek's old co-ordinators ruining teams all over the league.

AV is a professional and he will miss kicks from time to time. the filed at SD was soaking wet after the rain so that could have affected his mechanics. But he used to kick in the Wintery NE environment so I dont know what happened. May be he is too used to that Stale Dome Environment already.

lol, ha ha, still cant believe he missed an easy kick like that that would have won the game , since the chargers had no offense and no time out, so sad, if you a colts fan, lol.
