Get a wheel chair and get back into life. Start doing what ever you can. Lots of people can't walk, but they still do many things. Somethings you just have to accept and move on with life. No sense in focusing in on what you can't do anymore, you need to start looking for what you can do. You can do it. Have courage. Trust in God. I will pray that He will strengthen you to go on. Treat others how you want to be treated. Be kind, caring, giving, selfless, sharing, understanding, tolerant, patient, slow to anger and quick to forgive. Ask God for the serenity to accept the things you can't change, the courage to change the things you can and the wisdom to know the difference.
Don't stay in self pity, do something for others with out expecting anything in return. You can't walk, but you can count all your other blessings if you take the time to see what they are. You will have to find new ways of doing things. Go for it.
I hope the best for you.

sweetie you need to seek professional help who will assist you with your depression. sweetie you have to look at it from his eyes. he doesnt see you as you cant walk. he sees that an adjustment is needed be things are still the same. and you should be so depress. because you could have lost your life but you only lost your legs and you both can deal with that. it not that he dont understand he not looking through depress eyes you are. he fully understand that you need to be grateful for what you do have and not worrying about what you dont have. you still have a husband who loves you and want to still be there for you and continue as with life with you. He doesn't have to understand. It's your feeling, you understand it. How do you think he feels now? He can't express his feelings of depression and disappointment because you're throwing a pity party. Just be glad you're still alive and focus on the positives in life. If you don't, you'll die miserable and alone.

I understand how you feel and I am sorry to hear that you are going through this. Tell him how you feel and just be blunt about it. It might seem mean at first but it is what I had to do.
