When I had a Windows PC, I used AVG and I loved the protection. The coverage it offers was amazing for a free program, and I liked that it scanned quickly and easily.
The one thing I didn't like is that there was no option to set up when it updated itself: it was either no auto update, or every single day. I had a slow-ish internet connection and it would bog down my speed every day to update itself.
Other than that, it's a sweet program for free!

avg is a great program although windows live one care is much better, i've never used a beter program
