Try using a drill that has more torque to it, like a 1/2" corded drill....But be careful, it has so much torque that you may hurt yourself....

Happens to the best of us, hehehe....

Vise-grips will often help where you cannot grip the bit with pliers. Try that first, if you've got them. Try rotating the bit in reverse to loosen it. Clamping the vise-grips close to the surface of whatever you were drilling will let you use a prybar... (brace against the surface, and pull on the jaws of the clamped vise-grips - place a pad over the surface if marring is a concern)

If you dont own a pair of vise grips, and need to get the bit out before going to the store, hehe... then scuff the bit just a little where the chuck will grab it.... often a little oil residue will cause a clutch to slip on them... set the chuck back on it, and in REVERSE, give it a little trigger.

Another method, is to tap the drill with a hammer, not too heavily... often you just need to loosen it just a bit, not drive it in like a nail, hehehe

Good Luck

If the bit hole is not in an area where it will be horribly visible and you can drill elsewhere or otherwise cover it up, take the next size larger bit and drill immediately next to the stuck bit. You will have a double hole, maybe larger than you want for your application, but if it is to be hidden, won't matter a bit. Just back off the second bit, then first use drill to try to get first out. If no luck, you can gently try to move your first bit using pliers back and forth at the top to create more space to get the first one out.
Another old trick is to borrow a brace and bit, really crank the tightener, and back it out enough to loosen it up.

Try re-inserting the bit into the chuck, tighten it and then reverse the drill motor to back it out
