I don't mean this to be any kind of racist question and this question does not specifically pertain to race but rather culture (because its great how we can all have different looks, skin tones and appearances but yet still have one culture).

Do you think too much diversity can hurt the USA? For instance, not having an official language causes a lot of division, barriers, and hostility between people. Same with culture. Doesn't America need a real culture besides the mass media and the "green" that Americans of all races can be able to work in harmony with?

I know some will say its the melting pot that is America's culture, and while this is true, then why are so many different types so hostile to one another? In my opinion America NEEDS a real culture not just a fake one or one that favors only one specific race or generalization.

What's your opinion? No rude answers please.

A unity in diversity is more creative, vibrant and durable than unity of the uniformed. As far as the hostility you mentioned, there shall always be people to generate hostility even in the serene environment of ,say,a heaven( only for effect and no religion). If Americans are better at adaptation out side of their own environment than, say,British or Germans then a large credit to it goes for the grooming they had in not only dealing with but living well amongst people (their own) with divergent lingo, mannerism and what not. Your suggestion comes as a good answer for immediate effect but in the long run,it can prove to be stale and stagnant.Let America remain what it is and it's real GOOD.

I think the world is losing diversity. People are becoming all about the same things and cultures are dying away all the time. People are becoming more and more about the self, greedy and inconsiderate money and net worth are now starting to rule above all.

We are losing our sense of community, helping to make everyone strong and not just oneself.

In the USA, we are losing diversity the melting pot was a good idea, but its creating the same brown melted ooze.
