If it was easy it would be so boring. It is overcoming those difficulties that give us our personal victories. We just need encouragers to help us through the tough times. Weed out the people in your life that tend to be negative and hold you back and cling to the ones that seem to breathe life into your soul. I know you don't agree with my philosophy, but Jesus did come and promise rest for the weary and burdened. I speak from experience. He has been faithful to me. Anyhow, I'll keep it short. It is good to see you posting again. I have missed ya!

Well, I enjoy life, no matter how much it sucks at times. In fact I take pleasure in the bad moments. There is not a day, or even a minute that goes by that I am not learning something new, and the drama that is always ensuing is so very amusing. I think that living is only as hard as you make it. It's all about perception. Life isn't fair, and it's not equal, so yes, certain people do have it worse. But I don't think there is a person alive that has not had at least one happy moment in their lives. Sometimes you just have to look at the big picture and look forward to the special moments. If you don't like your life, do something about it. Don't whine about it. You make your choices, and you are not pre-destined to do anything you don't want. You may have to suffer a little to get somewhere, but in the end it's worth it. Just be grateful that your life isn't as bad as some people's, and see the humour in stress.

There is an old worn out saying that life is only as hard as you make it....trite but true. There are different phases, periods, times, whatever, in life and each one is perceived differently. You are apparently in a tough phase, periods, time, whatever right now. One thing about life is not matter what is going on time moves on and we either move with it or stagnate. Not much we can do to stop time and choices we make determines how that time will be. Don't worry you will get some better phases, periods, times, whatever and some of all that will even be totally outrageously wonderful wish you could die then and there and be done with it. But then not so grand stuff comes around again and same old trite sayings come along ...what doesn't kill you makes you stronger....it helps build good character....its a test...its only a test....Again trite but true. And the cycles go round and round. You finally get old enough that you get used to it, or you figure out how to get through it faster (or slower when its good) or you just go with the flow and the effect is minimal. One would hope it would ease off after fifty years or so, but it doesn't....just have to wait for the next really great fantastic wonderful wish I could die now phase, period, time, whatever.

Because you were put on this earth to learn, grow and develop into the best sort of person you can be. If life was easy and you had not problems or things to overcome, how could you grow and develop as a person?
We need the challenges that life throws at us to enable us to overcome them and develop as a person.
Life is not just about existing or getting bye. We can't grow and develop unless we change and adapt, if we stay the same then we die.

It wouldn't be so bad if we could take vacations anytime we want :D But wow, I can't believe that as soon as I get a real job I'll only have 2 weeks of vacation a year... even if I was making so much money, you really have no free time to spend it. Then once you retire, you're probably too weak and old to do some outdoor hobbies.
And it's too bad stem cell research is put on hold (I think) due to ethic reasons.

Life is hard much of the time, but it's good for us, believe it or not. It helps strengthen us if we approach hardships in the proper way.
One example ... our daughter was harrassed something fierce in school. Though she was very bright ... could do double digit multiplication, could read, ect., before entering first grade ... her grades dropped due to loss of self-esteem and confidence due to the other students constantly teasing and putting her down.
I told her as long as she was a good person and was doing what she was supposed to, that it was the other kids with the problem, and she needed to go on and do her best. She listened, thank goodness, and learned to forge ahead no matter what, and achieved great things in school, winning speech competitions, doing wonderfully in theater, ect., and has now graduated college as an educator!
Due to her approach to the hardships she edured in school, she is now a stronger person who holds her head high and works toward what she believes in no matter what.
I hope this perspective encourages you to overcome hardships in your life as well!
Best Wishes!!

Your life is what you make it. Are you looking at life through a dirty windshield? You are the co-creator of your life. You are the only person who has the power to manifest the kind of life that thrills or bores you. Life is about choices, and it is only hard if we choose to make it so.

From what I've seen being materialistic and or in debt makes life hard.
Also not thinking daily about the good things you can enjoy everyday.
