I define a "nerd" as someone who is passionate about a lot of things out-of-the-ordinary. Things like Dance Dance Revolution, StarWars/Trek, Harry Potter, things we would normally grow out of, and no, they don't always wear black-rimmed glasses.

I was talking about how kool Star Wars was with one of my friends and she said I was a nerd, and then I talked to my other friend about it and we had a very enjoyable conversation about StarWars. Of course she said "Haha, we can be nerds together!" (not exact wording), and I was wondering: How do you define a "nerd" and how would they differ from a "prep"/"cool person"?? I, myself, think nerds are kooler because they're humble, lol.

What do you think??

I think I know who you where talking too ;)

I think a "nerd" is really just a lable people give to other people who just happen to like a diferent thing. I don't like saying someone is a "nerd" or "Dork" seeing as I have been called both of those things (friends, my brother, sister etc.) Maybe a "Nerd" is just somebody who is into diferent thing, or is into stuff that most people just couldn't get into themselves. That's what I personally think :D

Nerds are usually just people who are nice, yet everyone is mean to for no reason. At least at my school.

Funny thing, I'm obsessed with Harry Potter, like Star Wars, video games, Lord of the Rings, things considered nerdy...but I'm not exactly a labeled nerd.

I've always thought it was defined as a person with high intelligence but NO social skills. Of course since nerds flock together to discuss Star Wars, Star Trek, anime, etc. they DO have social skills within their own group.

praise be to Allah Haraam is that for which the guy who does it will be punished and the guy who abstains from it will be rewarded, if the reason of his abstinence is following the prohibition of Allaah. 'i think such issues as " love"(charm to the option gender) is haram too(which includes loving your own spouse/husband).because it wil not in any respect benifit me contained in the hereafter, considering its no longer a technique of worship. And it makes you ignore about Allah and hereafter.Noone is worth of having extra interest then Allah!' second component to your question: You misunderstood! Islam teaches us to be straightforward and life like. frequently, we like because of Allah and we hate because of Allah. Islam teaches us that a male and lady can boost a good relationship in keeping with marriage. All those memories of media and videos are literally not effective to make someone adjust to the teachings of Islam. we do not say love is halal or haram through the indisputable fact that is a feeling. possibly it isn't below administration. you could choose what's below administration. yet those who fall in love are in a lot of episodes far flung from the cleansed and organic ecosystem. Marriages that are often good and lasting marriages are those that start up on the least affection. That affection grows after marriage and probably it is going to advance till the couples proceed their companionship on the Jannah. And Allah is familiar with the great! Jazakallah!
