Few days ago my computer started making a loud noise and I thought maybe it was a dust build up in the fan.
Tried blowing air through cabinet. It's o.k. at the moment but was noisy when I turned it on this morning.
What could make a computer noisy like this. Can someone invade the system with a bug of some kind and make it run too fast or something with a programm control or something?
(maybe this is a really dumb question) seems like if the fan was broken it would keep making the noise and not go on an off. Can anyone help please?

not very old computer, it's in the corner of a room but the weather is a bit warmer lately. (not really c. savvy) or opened a cabinet b4. Really asking if it can be tampered with like a malware attack or something like that.
Thanks for all answers.

Seems like a faulty fan to me.

If you're electronic savvy, I would recommend opening up the computer box, and cleaning up everything inside, and make sure that no wires are too near the fan :-)

Where's your computer stored? If its in a severly enclosed space then the heat the fan is trying to remove, wont go anywhere and the fan will try working double time to get the job done.

If the noise is on and off, then it usually doesnt mean the fan is broken, becasue a broken fan doesn't act fixed once it's broken.

Just take off the screws like the guy ahead of me said, and check (gently) if its cracked, or is it looks wobbly or something to that extent.

A simple fix if it is broken. Or if you have a caveman computer, age could just be the problem.

An old computer begins to make noise when you start it up, becasue it has to run faster to start up everything.

Is it coming from the fans? the case fan? Those are cheaply replaceable, if thats what so loud, it;s four screws and a $10 fan Easy fix :)
