Should gun control in the U.S. be more strict, less strict, or stay the same?
-Less strict if anything. All adults should be required to own a gun BY LAW! It should be against the law for an adult NOT TO own a gun.

Do you currently own a firearm, or have you in the past. If no, would you consider owning one?
-NO, yes I would buy 1, or 2

What influences your thoughts on gun control?
-The fact that we need them to protect ourselves from the bad people.

Do you know anyone who has been directly effected by gun violence?
-No, because guns don't cause violence, the people carrying the guns cause violence. Who needs a gun to be violent, I could use my fist, a knife, sword or bow&arrow. I could even make and use a bomb if I knew how.

Do you worry about becoming a victim of gun violence?
-No for goodness sake. I worry about being a victim of violence, PERIOD! Who needs a gun for violence? I can take these questions quite literally. When I think of gun violence, I think of guns being violent which is giving the gun a personality. Do you worry about becoming a victim of toaster oven violence? Don't you see that picture in your head of the person being at fault of throwing that toaster at your head?

How old are you?
-25

What level of education do you have?
-Some college

What is your occupation?
-retail

The gon control level is just fine how it is. I feel it does a good job of protecting us and our rights. Is it perfect? No, nothing is perfect, but it is good enough for now, until we reach perfection (which will be, um, NEVER!).
Hunting is a good form of recreation. Many people who use guns for violence get them ilegally anyway. There is no good argument favoring gun control.

1.I do own a firearm, though it isn't very powerful and I wish I had a more powerful one.

2.My family hiostory and view on society.

3.No, all the people I know have only good stories about guns.

4.No, not in this town!

5.I am 16 years old.

6.I am a Junior in High School.

7.Full-time student, part-time sloth.

Not sure if you want short or long answers, so I'll do both.

1. Less strict/The second ammendment is very clear. Gun laws just do more to disarm honest citizens. Criminals will arm themselves to the teeth regardless of law: They're criminals, they operate outside of the law.

2. I own two. A glock 17 and a Rueger Red Hawk (revolver)

3. Gun control facts, and our basic rights to self defense. More gun laws = More crime. Case and point, look at Australia's gun statistics since they've made firearms illegal.

4. Yes, they are both dead. Shot by a drug dealer in a case of mistaken identity. Gives me more reason to defend myself.

5. No.

6. 21

7. In college, about to finish.

8. Self employed.

stay the same at the fed level. it's a states issue.

yes i have in the past. i don't now because of legal reasons, (felon). i still could but i took prison VERY serious and obey the rules.

everything. the constitution as opposed by gun violence and innocent victims.

yes. most notably a doctor friend of mine who works as a pediatrition in an emergency room and has to clean up the mess of accidental shootings of kids, (he hates guns and thinks they should be outlawed), and others who have been shot or have done the shooting.

nope.

none of your bizz but older.

college educated with an associates degree in a trade, (hvacr). in my younger days i went to college through my junior year but dropped out for "other interests". i passed college calculus, (c+) and organic chemistry (B+) at the university level.

construction and other endevours.

youre welcome.

however, when doing a survey you should try and limit your allowed answers to a, b, c, d. you know, agree, disagree, strongly disagree. you will have fits turning my answers for example, into a usable number. and probably, my answer should be tossed beacuse i'm a felon which may or may not make my answr very biased. GL with your project! (i love stats and marketing research)

More effective. The 20,000 on hand now do little to reduce gun crime.

Yes. My wife, my 7 y/o son and I all own several. We all practice and educate others on safe handling of firearms.

Any legislation that interferes with my family's right to posses and use our lawfully acquired firearms. Plus, what gun control law actually effects criminals "WHO ALREADY DOESN'T OBEY THE LAW"?

Of course. 7 out of 10 the guns were obtained
illegally.

No. I have a state issued CHP and carry a concealed pistol daily.

1. gun contol should, if anything, be less strict. gun laws only keep guns out of law-abiding citizens' hands. why would a criminal follow gun laws? they only stop law-abiding citizens from either using guns for sport or to defend thmeselves. we have to stop telling everyone guns are evil and start educating people.

2. yes; i currently own a shotgun passed down from my grandpa used for hunting and trapshooting.

3. i have been raised around guns since a young age, and my dad taught me a respect for guns and hunting.

4. no

5. no; i live in the country

6. highschool

7. same

8. student
