We have personally pd out $$ and are expecting a refund as are apparently many others who appear to have been scammed wiring money to Canada for "collateral" on an advance payment loan (which I've since learned is illegal is most states)

No this is a scam this company took 1800.00 dollars from me to obtain a 5,000.00 loan. The loan reps sound professional and they even have a web site that's under construction. This all is phony. They guaranteed that I would get a 5000.00 loan with 900.00 secured. I sent the money to Canada for some insurance purpose with a lady by the name of Connie Williams. The rep explained it would take 3-4 hours for the money to be in my account. It never showed up. The customer service Mgr Paul meyers talk to me and said he couldn't get the loan. By now I have no money. So Paul Meyers interests customer manager interests me into putting another 900.00 up to obtain the loan guaranteed. I borrowed the money like a dumb *** from a friend thinking I could pay him right back. As you all probably know what happened. I didn't get the loan. This dumb *** tried to pursuay me to go for the 10,000.00 loan by sending in another 900.00. I told him I coukldn't . So like before he told me the money was waiting to be released to me because he had a borrower back out. I am still waiting for my refund he promised. they are very good con artist don't fall for it. People like this have no ethical standards and should be prosecuted. I hope someone reading this investigates them. Please just stay away from any ameritrust . This company also changes their name. It has been ameritrust loans and ameritrust lending.

No such thing as a grant for that type of business. Grants are for non profits and cutting edge technology research etc. Not worth all the trouble for an SBA loan. For the small amount of money you need try a local bank, or go online to find a commercial lease company who will finance the truck and equipment. As for start up expenses, unless you can qualify for a small operating line of credit, I'm afraid these will be out of pocket. You should start saving now. Despite what you may read on the internet there is NO FREE LUNCH FOR SMALL BUSINESS.

Hello

I have been dealing with this company as well for about the past 3 weeks, good thing i read these web posting before i sent any money. i was about to pay the $950.00 for a $6000.00 loan. I didn't send the money but my rep Matthew Turner believes I'm going to send it to Michelle Cancel in Clearwater Canada. I asked him about a man named Paul Meyers calling me and he blew it off i also asked about other people not getting their loans and that it is illegal to ask for up front money and he blew me off again. He did say in the 4 years he has been there everyone has gotten their loansI asked if this was a scam and he said no. I have no plans on sending this money or dealing with this company .. Im triing to find out if there is someway to have this company closed down

I have no idea, but it sure sounds like a scam. If they required a wire transfer or Western Union type payment that is a good indicator of a problem.
Go to FTC.gov and see if it is listed.
