No Spongebob Squarepants isn't gay. He is a kid, that is all he was meant to be. His audience group while loved by many, is meant for pre teens. Attaching 'gay' to Spongebob, 'gay' to Teletubbies, 'racist' to the Hyenas in the Lion King only pours the adult hate and problems into childrens world. I don't defend gay people or their lifestyles, I let them do that for themselves. I'm an animation artist, and I defend the makers of entertaiment that is positive and assist children developmentally. Those that seek deeper, sinister opinions should note, that the creators probably didn't have adults in mind.

Do children think of such things?
A child does not ask who there favorite character is sleeping with, at least my kids dint at that age.
Who cares in other words, if the character makes children happy then it is worth putting on. Plus it is a cute show I would watch it with the kids all the time.
One is never to old to laugh......

Seriously thought, nickelodeon has a "strick don't ask, don't tell policy for all of its chartacters", but they do supply dometic partner benifts to all of its orginal cartoons.
I understand that the aimations over at the cartoon network are getting a little upset about this package and want similar treatment. Aquaman is planning on leading a strike.

Are you crazy? If you need confirmation on his sexual orientation here is some information for you. I actually heard him commenting about a females butt on the start of an episode about a month or two ago. My mouth fell open. I might change my mind about allowing my daughter to watch it for THAT reason.

dont be ashamed i do too. I dont think he is meant to be but in some episodes it kinda looks that way. Gay or straight, Spongebob is the man.

I don't think so there is no sexual inuendo on that show, I like it too. I am pretty keen at picking up on that kind of stuff. So I would say no, even though there are very few female characters.
