To be honest.. I went to the first one and never went back. The class went over the process of how the baby grows per week/month etc. They did give me a book that had some helpful information but other than that, I just didnt feel it was worth it to go back. The class itself was free for me, but it was from 6-9pm.. which is a really long time, right around dinner time.
But, to each their own. I am sure that some people found the class very informative.

I haven't taken them either, but I did buy a DVD called "Laugh and Learn About Childbirth." I am so glad I watched it! If you want to have a "heads up" about what's going to happen during labor and all of that fun stuff, I really recommend it! You can do it in the comfort of your own home which is nice! My sister-in-law regrets not taking any classes. She didn't know what to expect, and she was fighting her body the whole time during labor (which lasted almost 24 hours). Whatever you decide, I hope you have a great experience!

its possible that its too late, the classes fill up weeks in advance. If you plan on having a medicated birth then you may not need them, but remember, things don;t always go according to plan. I had an epidural with my first son, and planned on having on with my 2nd son, but labor progressed too quickly and I had to deliver naturally. Thank God I remebered my lamaze breathing!!!
BTW, not that you asked, but natural childbirth is AWESOME!!! There is no comparison to the high you get after delivery!! I will never hae a medicated birth again.

Hi friend, Yes you need to take birthing classes only as your information. Its better you have information rather than not at all. Actually everysingle woman who gave birth has her own experience and at that time sometime you don't remember the theory you've got

I think its a good idea - but certainly not necessary. I might suggest reading up on the labor process. Just make sure you talk to your doctor or midwife, so they can tell you when to be ready to call them as labor approaches. They can give you an idea of what to expect when its time to have the baby, when to call, and how far apart your contractions should be before you start to get too anxious.

You don't have to take the classes; however, they will help you in the long run and you will gain knowledge that is useful on delivery day. Check with your local community center or hospital and see about the classes. If you'd prefer not to take them, your maternity nurse will be very helpful during your labor.

first of all, wow i'm so sorry. i be attentive to no words can ever do away with that form of loss, and that i be attentive to there's no person which will ever replace that distinctive infant 4u, yet attempt to not learn this preganncy to the different one. as annoying because it rather is to have self assurance, it rather is amazingly uncommon to have 2 stillborns esp. consecutively. The dorctors bc of your historic previous will regard your being pregnant as intense-danger and consequently will see you greater often incredibly of as quickly as a month each 2 week, and then around 28 weeks as quickly as each week. they'll in all probability do greater ultrasounds on you and non-rigidity assessments than they might commonly only to be cautionary. additionally, if the reason develop into desperate, or rationalization for dying, they'll heavily beware for issues comparable like low fluid and so on. Even for human beings that have by no capacity been pregnant b4, there is often the subject/worry of this going on. i'm due in 9 days and nonetheless am lots greater truthful now, there develop into for an prolonged time a terror something might bypass incorrect with my being pregnant because it rather is my very 1st. I only had to attempt to think of advantageous. My father develop into born after a stillbirth. His mom have been given pregnant only quite a few months after dropping the stillborn son, with my dad, and he develop into born high quality, and this develop into back in the Nineteen Fifties till now that they had all this technologies like ultrasounds to exhibit screen the baby in intense-danger pregnancies. i think that the dr.'s will take good care of you and your infant and being pregnant bc of your historic previous and that way not something undesirable will ensue on your infant this time. back i'm incredibly sorry on your loss of your 1st new child. and please dont experience undesirable for attempting to be advantageous approximately this being pregnant and not learn it to the final.
