We have a female cat at the store I work at in the patio and she keeps having kittens. We have managed to catch some of the kittens and give them away, but sure enough, she always has more. She is wild and won't let anyone get near her. The trap we set is useless because she won't get near it. We need to get rid of her. Anyone have any ideas?

Feral cats never go for cat traps so those are pretty much useless. You can call a professional, but I have had some BAD experiences with animal control. I've had them show up and kill whatever i called them to help- really! So ask around about your animal control before calling them.

If they turn out to be reputable, great. problem solved. If they don't, then have the person who has the best rapport with her sit there for a bit each day so that she grows accustomed to them. If you hold your fist palm down at cat head level, she'll eventually come over and sniff it, this can turn into touching, and over time, you should be able to pick her up. You can then take her in and get her fixed. Many vets have inexpensive rates for feral cats.

Good luck.

I would not suggest trapping her by yourself. You can feed her, but she may sense you're around and flee again. Sometimes cats don't even bother with the food.

Unless you have contacted the local humane society, call them. They'll help assist you in capturing the cat.

If you really want to catch her, call Animal Control. They will definitely pick her up. Someone may even adopt her from the shelter at some point.

you need to be smarter and faster then the cat. corner it somewhere and then grab it by the back of the neck like the skin on the back of the neck don't strangle the cat. and then put it in a cat carrier. that's it. or call the animal control they will do that for you unless it is your cat and they will charge you to pick it up.

Feed the cat and desex it. Don't take it to the pound as it will put her down! Pleasae desex and she might calm down and stop having kittens!
