I am looking for someone.. or a place to find someone who will help me learn the ins and outs of basic coin collecting. I would do not learn well when reading page after page out of a book. I already tried that, never worked in school, does not work now.

Well books are very important and I have a lot. You did however make me thing about when I started and remembered i learned more from the old timers at the then local coin shop than I actually did books. Of course since then my interests in coins has spread out from U.S. coins to world coins and even ancient coins. I would be glad to help as much as I can. Email me here and I will give you my email address. Coin collecting can be a lot of fun as long as one has a goal. There is a difference between a collection and just an accumulation of coins. I am a numismatist that means I not only collect coins but know the history behind them and do research on them.
