Try to do your homework right after school. The sooner, the better. I too suffer from this affliction. A good rule is to do the worse task first and the rest will be easier. Waiting until the last minute only gives you reasons to put it off once again so try to do tasks such as homework as soon as possible.

I was going to answer this with a smart *** "I'll get back to you tomorrow" but since I have the same problem, I just couldn't do that. Good luck.

Oh man... I have the same exact problem

What worked for me is drawing out a time sheet for everything, it takes just a couple of minutes to make and keeps you on a strict schedule (if you can handle that)
Give an exact time when you have to be done with this hw etc.
Or you can sleep now and wake up 2 hours before you usually wake up and finish your homework then. Then you are forced to finish in a given amount of time.

i think i have the same thing. Try to do your Homework right after school and then just relax for the rest of the day/night. I am going to try that too. I get easily distracted by AIM, Facebook, Myspace, and yahoo answers haha. well good luck with your procrastination! p.s. get off yahooanswers and go to sleep now ! =P

That's funny - I was going to ask this question...tomorrow.

I find it better to pick an easy task and do that one first. I don't have a problem with working; I have a problem with starting. If you start with something that you know you can do, you get the satisfaction of doing it, and your brain gets warmed up and it better able to tackle more difficult tasks, especially with your confidence high.

Also - make a list. It helps organize your thoughts and makes you realize that things aren't as hopeless or desparate as you thought. Make each task something concrete that you can cross off when done; it give a good feeling of completion. eg not 'write essay on causes of world war II' but 'collect notes' and 'highlight and summarize' and 'do outline' and 'write paragraphs' and 'write introduction' and 'write conclusion' and 'revise' and 'references'. just take each of those little steps, and then, almost as if by magic, the task is done.

do no longer think of of a drug. you could desire to slowly initiate taking responsability of you life and your initiatives. i procrastinate plenty, too. what works for me is to no longer be annoying on myself, yet to make little ameliorations. little ameliorations like, at present i take out the rubbish. the next day, i call my mom. etc. then, you upload extra issues you're able to do in one day. even though you do, do no longer choose for tablets. tablets for all our problems supply us unwell wellness. believe me in this because of the fact, I fairly have been on tablets for years and that they do extra injury than stable. tablets impact your physique and innovations, they do no longer do the actual artwork for you. stable success. :)

Look in the mirror every morning...

Affirm yourself. "I do my homework and get it done on time"

Say it everymorning for 3 weeks. I guarantee your grades will improve.
