Blackbirds, crows, etc. were originally considered to be messengers of the gods. This dates back to the times when birds were used for forecasting the weather and other events, the art was known as Augery.
With all the birds there song or call can be quite distinctive, once an ear is developed.
I always think we are lucky to share this world with them.
P.S. It is a good time to set up a bird table, now the weather is getting harsher.

I think so. We have had a family of blackbirds living with us here in the UK. They feed with us at table and have reared three broods of chicks during the year. Mother blackbird comes to flutter at the window in winter when she has the time. We put out food for her. Rather than good luck we consider it a real benefit to have her family close to us where we can see her and her family.

Normally, blackbirds indicate confusion. However, there is a raven mentioned in Genesis, where Noah employs it to fly back and forth to 'dry up the waters' of the flood, just before he sends out the dove to search for dry land. In this case, the black raven is the vehicle of good things to come.

Blackbird
To see a blackbird, is a bad omen, bringing about misfortune for you in the coming weeks.

It also signifies your lack of motivation and that you are not utilizing your full potential.

To see a flying blackbird, signifies good fortune.
