No, because the money actually bought food, movie, etc. The people didn't sit down and say, okay I'll give you 200 for an hour of sex or w/e. When cops do that thing where they have a cop pretend to hire a prostitute, the cops who are surveying can only arrest the prostitute once the two have specifically agreed on a certain amount of money for a certain sexual act.

That's the fine line that escort services dance on.
IF 'spending the night' is "paid for" then it can be defined as prostitution.
IF only 'dinner and a movie' is paid for an escort, and the "financial transaction" is completed and over with before the 'decision' to have sex is made, then possibly not.
If it's a 'relationship' it isn't prostitution.
If it's a 'transaction' it is.

For prostitution ..a girl will be pick for sex only and no special take- aways ...
For no legal protitution ..could be a man meets a woman and they start by first greeting ...do alot of taking and invite eachother for coffee or Dinner , thats not in any way as prostitution..
coz she didn't tell you to sleep with her and pay her ...those buying and having coffee money spend..is just you who wants to do that just for friendship or friendly- ness,
A protitute -sex and money ...
not prostitute-someone you can meet and have a greet chat , have drinks and while doing that you are talking , getting to know eachother ...no money what ever ..if later you decide to go have sex ...then its not as in a way of a prostitue .
its just that you two had something in common ...it clicked ,so then and both couldnt help it ...thats y ...

Dates are for getting to know someone who holds the other's romantic interest. If that date later has the couple sharing sexual intimacies, then the expenditures from that date DO NOT equate to prostitution.
Prostitution is the simple profession, where one profits from having sex with someone; the profits from such an interaction are strictly for the hooker's survival.....as well as "payroll deductions" notwithstanding.

The government couldnt careless of who is havin sex with whom and why they just don't want the streets lookin like those in France... they say its humilating to this Nation... but some ppl do it cuz they really gotta bring bread to the table but others do it cuz is easy. My opinion is somewhere in the middle cuz I dont support prostitution but I don't see the government tryin to employ all those ppl! I mean if you tell em to stop doin that for a livin at least give em another job or how do u expect them to support themselves and sometimes their family. But to those girls who give it out after the guy has spend a deal of money on them at least they're smarter then the men tryin to get in their pants. horny punks they'll do anythin just to hit it.

No. As long as money doesn't go from one sex partner to another, it's not prostitution. A guy shelling out for the date is just the cost of sharing a nice night together. The sex is free.

Interesting question but . . . . Nope it's not. That my friend is dating or courting both of which are looked to be more then an opportunity for sex. When prostitution occurs sex is the only thing that is expected nothing more nothing less.

hmmm...well I'd say that wouldn't be considered legal prostitution, only because the money wasn't given specifically for sexual acts, but rather for sustenance and entertainment. Very good question though! Never thought of that before...

If you paid me to answer this question, could I have you arrested for prostitution?
If it's consenting adults, it's not illegal. But there's always a way to twist words and laws to make it look like you're right.

No, its not "legal prostitution" because your date doesn't OWE you sex in exchange for the dinner and movie. its not a business transaction, which prostitution is. YOU are presumably taking this person out for the evening because you enjoy their company and want to spend time with them; you are generously offering to pay for their dinner and movie ticket as a gift. They are out with you presumably because they enjoy YOUR company and want to spend time with you. And at the end of the evening, although you may be hoping for -- or expecting -- more than a good night kiss on their front doorstep -- that may be all you get. They're not obligated in any way to sleep with you in exchange for that dinner and movie. If they choose to do so, its because they like you.
To be perfectly honest, if I'm out on a date with someone and I get the sense that he/she is expecting sex as a payoff for buying me dinner and a movie -- I won't let him/her pay for my dinner and movie ticket, I'll insist on splitting the restaurant bill and buying my own movie ticket. Then its understood, we're out together because we enjoy each other's company, and nobody owes anybody anything. Period.
