It all has to do with an internal protection mechanism that we all have (I.E. Self preservation) It is treated like all other outside incursions of something unpleasant!

Have you ever tried not ducking during a heavy rain? You will get water in your eyes and not be able to see. People are not being stupid.

I think those are the same people that won't go swimming in the rain... like they're afraid of getting wet or something.

so the rain hits the top of the head and back of the head instead of hitting your face and forehead.
Nothing sucks more than rain spraying in your face, except maybe piss spraying in your face.

just saying that I do it to but did not notice until later but then I am guessing that this would be so the rain does not get in your face

well i think that people do thimk it will help. but for me it is to keep the water from hitting my face.
