No, as long as it doesn't hurt you it won't be hurting the baby. There is enough padding there. We had sex up till delievery time with both pregnancies. The doctor will tell you that you are safe.

RE:
During sex, can the missionary position hurt the baby?
I am 23 weeks pregnant and it is my favorite position, but I started to wander if this could be harmful for the baby due to the fact that my husband's weight is on me.
Thank you!

I really don't think so. My wife had 4 children and we always liked the missionary position but as I was over 200 lbs and she was about 100 lbs I took some of the weight off her with my arms. Tell your husband to bend his arms and let them take the weight off. Remember the child is really cocooned in water so I don't think there is a problem. As she got bigger I was more careful with the force of the act. Do you want a girl or a boy. I have 2 of each and each bring their own little ways with them. Good luck.

no it is ok. the baby is well protected. but when you do get further along and the baby gets larger it tends to become hard to do the missionary position because you may start feeling uncomfortable with the pressure on your stomach and then may need to change to a different position for the last 10weeks or so
(i just started noticing it was becoming a problem the last week or so...im 31 weeks preg)
just as long as he is not putting his entire ontop of you (which i doubt cause you prob. would have breathing problems...lol) you are fine!
go have fun! lol

The baby is well protected inside of your uterus, no position can hurt him in anyway during sex. Just tell him to keep both hands on the bed or wherever (while doing his thing) so he doesn't put his weight on you.

If the baby didn't like it, it would be kicking. Your husband could try kneeling upright holding your legs up against his chest, this would leave your belly free of weight. Come on, even if you are pregnant, the human body can take all kinds of positions, use your imagination!

When I was pregnant last year, my doctor said missionary was okay as long as he didn't put his full weight on me, and only up to the 30th week. After that is was doggy style or my personal fave while pregnant, spoon style. Not only do your arms not get tired, but you also don't have the baby belly jiggling all around.
