stop the pop-ups on my computer? Somebody used Internet Explorer on here and now I have all these pop-ups that mess up my computer.

Go to the Tools Icon and check that your pop up blocker is on.

That happen to me before what I did was that I just did system restore because I knew it some type of virus or something because that also happened to a family member. There are probably easier ways of removing the problem without doing system restore but you have to download virus protection software or use your own virus protection to resolve the problem.

I suggest scan your PC for adware; which causes the pop ups.

And if you'd like, head to http://www.download.com and search up Pop up Killer; or Stopper; filter it to Free and click on Top Rated to get the best, most downloaded popup blocker there is. :)

install a newer edition of IE, and try to find relative patches. Or try IE 7.0 or Firefox.
and..
better to run your PC with some security suite. some pop-up may be caused by some scripts attacking your PC..

possible spyware issue.. call microsoft or the computer manufacturer.. you might need to do a system restore or reformat the computer

If you are using IE 7, click on "tools" and go to "popup blocker". Click on "Turn on popup blocker".
