I am 62 and I say: "Welcome" to you.
We have fun with all age groups here and we do learn from each other.
I am one of those seniors that still should be a kid.
Enjoy & have fun.

Do avatars have to really look like us? The fun thing about avatars is we can make ourselves into anyone we wish. We can be as young, thin, cool, or old, big, and dorky as we want to be. We can dress up, dress down, or maybe not dress at all (but not on Yahoo.) Online communication lends itself to be the ultimate deception and game of let's pretend. I won't go into the bads of that- and it CAN be a positive, fun thing, but it gives us a chance to be someone we are not in real life. I don't think true age has anything to do with the avatars. Plus, I'm sure all those posting to the senior citizen topics are not really seniors either.

I'm the BIG 6-0 But I think tha there should be no age discrimination here. If you have something to say and it's relevant and you answer the question, why would you be asked to leave.
This section, as I see it, is not FOR seniors, it's ABOUT seniors. If you're 14 yo and answer here intellegently, what's the problem?
My 2 cents.

Honey, don't go by the avatars. Most of
these people had to settle for the
super young Yahoo avatars. None of us
like what we see in the mirror, so we
"embellish" somewhat. You can tell by
the way we talk...and you can tell by
the way the 13 yr olds talk.
there is no age limit on this section.

I am 63 and when I was putting this avatar together I couldn't find anything that looked older. I love my full avatar though. My girlfriend and I travel a lot together, so when I did mine it shows me in a bedroom, in my robe and slippers holding a cup of coffee and standing next to a packed suitcase. The tag line is " I'll be ready in five minutes."
I told her about it and she put one together. She is standing in front of a winery, dressed just like she dresses, with her suitcase at her side. I get a kick out these.

It's hard to find the older avatars, besides it's fun to pretend. From what I've been told everyone is welcome here. I like it here too but usually am here during day hours. Couldn't sleep so I thought I'd check out the night time people, and they are every bit as nice. Any way welcome and it is sure nice to meet you Debi.

I'm 51 and am a boomer or as I say a jr/sr. We have some who are regulars who are younger. It's a great bunch of folks on this site. Maybe the avatars are closer to the age we feel inside. lol
Welcome aboard, glad to have you.

Age is not a requirement or a deterrent here. Just so long as you play nice with all the others on here you are more than welcome. We have all ages and our avatars do not show that.
