I am going to wear an all black suit with a red silk collared shirt underneath the jacket. Is red too much? Or should I have gone with a not so "OUT THERE" color? and does my under shirt HAVE to be collared? and how should I wear it? SHould I tuck the under shirt in? Button or NOT button the jacket?

It depends what kind of job you are interviewing for.

If you are interviewing for a job in a traditional field, such as accounting or finance, then you'll want to stick to the traditional. A plain, pastel shirt with a collar. Neutral makeup, as well.

If the job is more creative, such as marketing. I say go with the red. You'll want to stand out. Just don't make it overwhelming and remember modesty.

You want the interviewers to remember you, not your shirt.

go red! red is a powerful color but wearing it as a "pop" of color makes it tastefully done. remember power dressing in the 90's? red is memorable, but it can very easily be overkill. i think the collar out looks better if your shirt has a collar. if it has no collar thats ok just play up your accessories a little more (just a touch). looking put together and fashionable says a lot about your character and how much you care about the position you are applying for. good luck!

oh..definately button the jacket and tuck the shirt in. your look should say "organized professional"

Its a job interview.

You want to be remembered. If its a red shirt under a black suit you wont have to worry too much about looking wacky. A red suit worn the right way, might even be not too bad.

You want to be remembered.

Dont worry about looking too out there.

Make sure that you tuck the shirt in, and button the jacket. When you sit down at the table, unbutton the jacket.

Make sure your make-up is modest. Modest make-up is professional. Bright colours, especially a nice red silk blouse will look great.

Red says confidence, anything else is pretty blah.

Hi there
Great choice!
Yes, your shirt should be collared and tucked in. If you are interviewing for an executive position keep you jacket buttoned. If not wearing your jacket unbuttoned is just fine.
The most important thing here is you want to look "put together", but add your own style (the red shirt is great), you may also want to consider a nice necklace to add your own touch.
Good luck.

I would wear a suit that would look as if you already have the job. A collared shirt always looks sharp on a woman wearing a suit. Business colors are dark blue and black. Button the jacket when you're standing or walking for a slimming look, unbutton it when you sit down for comfort.

Button it to only where a the pocket ends on a normal jacket. I know this isn't a jacket, but it's to give a little hint. I think the shirt should be a pinkish, or a very light blue. Red says your asking too much, or you are crazy.

No, if you look good in red, go for it - assuming you are not applying to be a criminal lawyer, or a pastor.
As long as the suit is business attire, the shirt or blouse does not need to be collared.
If it fits well, tuck the shirt in, and leave jacket unbuttoned.
Add black shoes, and classic [ gold, silver, pearl ] jewelry.

red and black is a very nice combination..
Well, if u tuck ur shirt, it depends on how long it is.. if it's exact to the level of the button of ur pants, then go for it.. try not to button ur jacket..
