common sense would dictate that if you're not sure, then better to be safe than sorry and stay away from the things that can damage the baby.

If you drank alcohol before you knew you were pregnant, stop drinking now. You will feel better and your baby will have a good chance to be born healthy. You may not know you are pregnant right away. Alcohol can hurt a baby even when you are only 1 or 2 months pregnant.

Contary to what most of these people THINK (i say think because most won't be parents) drinking holds no more danger than eating food with E numbers...or breathing in the polluted air we have...or crossing the road and so on...now having said that i am talking about drinking within the female limits...drinking heavily or binge drinking will more than likely harm the baby and if you do drink heavily, stop for your childs sake...if you have the odd drink through the week then carry on...wine (red) is very good for you...check the link to see if you drink to much...be honest when in the figures you enter...and finally good luck with your new child

Why don't you take the price of one 12-pack (or two mixed drinks in a bar) and buy a pregnancy test? If the test is positive and you don't want a brain-damaged baby, you can stop drinking for the next 8 months or so. It's the least you can do for an innocent little baby who relies on you for his life.

I was drunk the night before I got a positive test with my daughter. She is completely fine. I had a negative test that morning, drank (new years eve) and then just on a whim took another test on new years day. Thru my blurred, hung over vision, it became apparent that I was pregnant. Know this, when you miss your first period, docs consider you "4 weeks pregnant"...but, baby is only 2 weeks old, or "gestation". You should be fine, but if you're pretty sure that you are, then why risk it? I had a negative test, that's the only reason I went out and had fun.

YES, there is something called fetal alcohol syndrome, alcohol can be harmful at any point in a pregnancy espicially the begining. alcohol is a terrotogen (not spelled right) that means that it crosses over into your uterus. It is harmful. DON'T DO IT!! It can give a child problems with eyesight, hearing, motor skills, there are a number of problems that it can cause. think about it this way you are drinking and so is that baby.

"They" say that Fetal Alcohol Syndrome is caused in the first part of being pregnant, often before the mother knows she's pregnant.
The only thing you can do is to not drink or take drugs that your doctor doesn't allow you to.
It's a really good tome to quit smoking, too if you want to.

Until you find out whether or not you're pregnant, don't drink alcoholic beverages. This is a very important time in the formation of your future child.
If I were you, I'd buy a pregnancy test kit from a drug store and find out for sure. Don't risk drinking until you find out.
