Is the ancient Celtic calendar solar or lunar based? I've read some conflicting things & wasn't sure.

Would be good if you could include websites/source where you got your information as this is for an assignment please.

Both, actually, according to info on the Coligny calendar. Solar year, lunar month.

If you do a search for info on the Coligny calendar (or just hit the wiki page), they've got more info.

I've known it to be lunar, mostly by way of pagan literature.
