PCl3 has covalent bonds. Both P and Cl contribute one electron to the bond.
LiCl is ionic. Lithium, as a group 1 element, ionizes in its compounds almost entirely. So does MgCl2. Chlorine, as a halogen, picks up the spare electron from the anion (Li or Mg), and also exists as an ion.
I have no idea of what CiF is.
