This was during the Depression some families didnt make 100.00 a year. My Dad was born in 1913 and was in his Mid 20s and told me of working for 25 cents a day and was glad to have it. So $100.00 would buy you just about anything you wanted!!!!!!!

Sunrise Ford dealership in Ft. Pierce, Fl is celebrating their 75th anniversary and they said you could buy a V-8 Ford for about $432, when they opened their dealership about 75 years ago on a radio ad they had.
On their website they said they opened in the 1930's. I put their website link at the bottom.
