I am fairly certain nobody has ever screamed that at me....I don't think my parents would ever have done that. I can imagine some people behaving that way, though....although I would think it would be more likely to be something else other than "dessert".
I think my sympathies are with the child in that situation!

They said that about peas, but never for dessert. Most likely the child whined for that dessert, or it was very expensive. It doesn`t take much to set some people off.

I am sure this happens and more than we would like to believe. Most parents are not sure what they should do as a parent. It is so Essy to get frustrated and angry when at a loss of what really should be done.
I do remember seeing hits very thing on a TV program many years ago. I do not remember just why though.

Kind of. My mother was a terrible baker. But that didn't stop her from baking. I think she did it to piss off my father. But that's just my weird thoughts. Any way... once, she made something really terrible and blamed my sister and I for stressing her out so much she did something wrong. And we literally were sat down and not allowed to leave until it was gone.

Plenty of times, everyday still to this day. From both my mom and dad.
Even worse they yell it in public.
