Just wondering if there's a correlation here, so doing a very informal survey here...

1) When you married, if you did the little ritual where you hand feed a bite of cake to each other, did you do it gently & lovingly - nourishing the one that you love? Or, did you play it as more of a competition - to see who could get more cake on the other's face & clothes first?

2) How long did your marriage last (or has it lasted so far)?

Just wondering if the cake ceremony could be an indication of how the marriage plays out.

Hmm... that is not trouble-free. you are able to ought to purchase a form prepare become independent from the bride and groom. Or see in case you will hit upon a place that makes custom cake toppers. try googling "custom cake toppers." I did that and a few places got here up, some have been extraordinary yet you are able to in all probability discover something :)

Haven't yet.... but I can say, I'm a hopeless romantic. I would NOT smoosh it in his face, and I would make sure he promises me he won't either. I've been to weddings where bride and/or groom did it..... and I was shocked and horrified.... her dress was ruined, his tux was ruined.... they laughed then, but she cried later. And he was slightly in the dog house from that night... not a good start. In fact, when they argue, this is a sore spot for her, it still comes up like it happened yesterday. Yes, this is how girls argue. If it happened before, it may as well have happened yesterday. Right girls?

If I have to tease and make him promise, I will and I would. That in itself would be fun.

I married a Marine, we smashed it! Laughed and still married almost 23 years later. For those that do it oh so gently, you know the kid in you wants to come out and smash it but you d rather fake the niceness, well hopefully they ll be a sense of humor down the road in your marriage. A marriage cannot survive without it!

We been married 7 years and fed it to each other nicely. But we shoved it in our best man and maid of honors faces because they were trying to get us to smash it each others face. It was funny because they were each standing behind us and it wasn't planned. We did it at the same time

1) We did it gently and lovingly.

2) Going on 15 years.

I just don't think it's funny or cute.

;)

I would like to answer in 2 parts please.

#1 I crammed it in her face. We lasted almost 7 years.

#2 I do plan on remarrying and I have no intention whatsoever of cramming the cake in her face, but something tells me she might do it to me.

My photographer wanted me to make a big mess out of it because he thought it would make a cute picture, but I didn't because I hate it when people do that.
It just looks so phony to me and like you're trying to "show off".
Both my husband and I were very gentle about it.
We've been married almost 29 years have two beautiful (adult) children and still going strong!!
