In 1968 when I graduated high school, I weighed 160 pounds and wore jeans in a size 16.

Today, I weigh 161 pounds and I wear jeans in a size 10

Obviously the size of pounds has not changed, so am I to assume that the clothing manufacturers are monkeying around with their sizing, big time?

welcome to vanity sizing. we as a nation have all gotten fatter and to accomodate our vanity, they rearranged the sizes. I personally don't look at the size, though it depresses me at times. I wish women's clothing was like men's and done purely based off my measurements. a 32" waist is a 32" waist.

Susan P. Cudo's to you for keeping your weight so stable. I hate to admit that not all of us have done so well. I think it has to do with giving women what women want. No one wants tobuy a size 16 over a size 10. Makes sense to me. LOL
