"Did you know she was 17?"

Why don't you have children? I have PCOS and have tried infertility treatments several times and spent over 50,000 and it still did not work. I also get the response, "well you can always adopt!" I hate that one too, you do not know how hard it is to go through all the hormonal complications that you are put through with infertility treatment, the strain it puts on you and dealing with the fact that you cannot biologically reproduce! Some days, it makes me feel less of a woman, knowing something I have wanted my whole life, I will never be able to do!

Dumba**-- "Are you depressed?"

If I were truly depressed, the asker probably wouldn't be the first person I would want to talk to especially since they just proved the insensitivity of their nature by asking a personal question like that. But, since I am not depressed and am completely baffled as to how someone would come to that conclusion (I'm not in a talkative mood, so sue me), all I have to say is "Mind your own business, dumba**"

Just an example.

How ya doin?

They really don't care in the slightest. They only want to start with that statement so I will be forced to ask the same and then have to sit there for hours and listen to their drivel.

I would just prefer they said "Nice to see you, maybe we can get together sometime and catch up" at least that give me the option opt out if I choose to.

Are you mad at me? Why? Why?" Couldn't you to if they were mad at you. and if you had to ask that question wouldn't it be a yes. So yea, i know you probably think that's weird i hate when people ask that. But alot of people ask me that, so it gets a little annoying.

"How are you?"

I especially hate it when someone I know asks because I want to tell the truth, but the truth is extremely depressing and I know they really don't want to hear it. So, I lie and say I'm OK, like I do to strangers.

When they ask, "What are you doing tomorrow (or another specific day)--usually means they want you to do something. I hate being put on the spot.
